INTRODUCTION

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online
Gun Gale Online is a spin-off from Sword Art Online, an extremely popular series that has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. It is “another SAO,” created by Keiichi Sigsawa providing the original work, and Kouhaku Kuroboshi providing the character design concepts.
The story takes place in a VRMMO (virtual reality massively multiplayer online game), a world covered in flying bullets and gunpowder smoke aptly named 《Gun Gale Online》.
Karen Kohiruimaki, a young college girl, has always felt insecure about her tall stature. Intrigued by the idea of becoming another version of herself, she joins the virtual reality game to become this other version, 《LLENN》. Armed with her beloved gun, 《P90》, she takes on a battle royale challenge known as 《Squad Jam》.
Gun Gale Online aired its first season in April 2018, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from fans all across Japan and overseas for its high-impact gun action performed by girl characters. The series continues on to its second season in October 2024, bringing back LLENN, M, Fukaziroh, and Pitohui forming the strongest team, 《LPFM》 for short. Now finding themselves entering a new battle royale death match tournament that was announced out of the blue.
LPFM is eyed as the top favorite candidate team to win, but the team will have to endure several rigorous ordeals to get there: a playing field that sinks into the ocean with the passage of time, an 【UNKNOWN】 area hidden in the middle of the map, and an anonymous team conspiracy.
In addition to all of this, all players will have to follow some shocking special rules if they want to play the game and win…

STORY

Squad Jam is a survival match in which teams of up to six people fight for their lives. Many GGO players participate, as the game has fervent fans and is very popular. They’re here to fight for glory or revenge or seek a worthy opponent. The game unfolds as a struggle to the death. It has been three months since the end of the fierce battle, Squad Jam 2 (SJ2), and now, the third round – Squad Jam 3 (SJ3) begins.
Pitohui, M, Fukaziroh, and LLENN join forces to form a new team aptly named “LPFM.” They then head to a small island that acts as the tournament’s battlefield. Awaiting them on the island, though, are rigorous ordeals to overcome: a playing field that sinks into the ocean as time passes, an "UNKNOWN" area hidden in the middle of the map, and an anonymous team conspiracy.

All players bet their pride and willpower on the third iteration of this wild party that's about to begin!

PROFILE
Hopelessly an anime song singer, ReoNa is an up-and-coming artist with a dark edge whose delicate and profound songs exude a sense of timeless youthfulness. She lent her singing voice to Elsa Kanzaki, a fictional artist appearing in the Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online TV anime series, in which she released a mini album titled ELZA in July 2018 as “Elsa Kanzaki starring ReoNa.”

In August 2018, ReoNa made her solo debut using the same name and released her first single, “SWEET HURT,” the ending theme for the TV anime series Happy Sugar Life. She performed her first solo live concert at Nippon Budokan titled, “ReoNa ONE-MAN Concert 2023 ‘Pilgrim’ at Nippon Budokan -3.6 day Nigete Aoune-” in March 2023, where tickets sold out almost immediately despite being held on a work day. After the second day of her live show at Nippon Budokan, ReoNa released her second album, HUMAN.

Celebrating her fifth anniversary on August 29th, 2023, ReoNa released a packaged version of her live solo concert, “ReoNa ONE-MAN Concert 2023 ‘Pilgrim’ at Nippon Budokan -3.6 day Nigete Aoune-” the next day on August 30th. Starting May 2024, she embarked on a nationwide tour in Japan titled “ReoNa 5th Anniversary Concert Tour ‘Hello, Unhappy’” and will head to Taipei, Hong Kong, and Shanghai under the same tour name for her first live concerts in other Asian cities starting in July.
